RADIO FLUB
We are always talking about how bad my memory is getting if I don't write things down, well here's some proof! (I am not quite sure why I would want to highlight such a display of my severe inadequacy in this area but - what the heck? We all have flaws right?) By the way... I still hate the way my voice sounds to me on the radio. I guest hosted once with Brian on JQ99 morning blast and I was so quiet, I think I had "stage fright" - Put me in front of an audience of thousands to sing and I am fine, but speaking... Not my thing.

Anyways, We are driving to school/work in the morning and listening to JQ99 and they are doing a contest and taking caller number 7, the kids are yelling from the back seat, "call in, call in" so I do and unbelieveable, I get through. The contest was a surprise so I didnt even know what I was calling to do to get registered for this contest...

I get on and they say, "OK Tirza, here is all you have to do..." (I should have known then it wasnt going to be easy...) So they name 20 grocery items super-fast and I have 30 seconds to repeat just 10 of them. Seems simple enough... NOT. I totally froze after naming only 5 of the 20 items and then proceeded to take up the rest of my time babbling incoherantly, stuttering and renaming the few items I already named. Why couldn't the contest been to sing a line from a song or something EASY... Oh well... Better luck next time!
