SO PROUD ~ GRACIE ROCKS!
Just feeling like today I am so proud of my daughter! Tuesday, we ran our first 5k distance with our Girls on the run teams and she did so incredibly well. She was 4th in the group and even though we encouraged the girls that this was not a race but a goal setting exercise and also just for them to see how long 3.1 miles felt like, she came in under 30 minutes and very comfortable. She told me she found her "comfort zone" - It was so great to see her not only finish well but enjoy the process. She must get that from her father because I am a sprinter by nature, I love the results and the feeling / accomplishment of running but I have yet to truely enjoy the journey... I am working on it. By the way, every one of our girls, as well as, the other GOTR team at the school finished well and accomplished some personal goals! I am so thankful to be a part of this program, I love coaching and building relationship with these girls!
